Percussion Instruments
Traditional Percussion instruments appeared very early with variety in types. Nowadays, this instrument becomes increasing due to adding of new instruments.
Percussion instruments are variety in materials such as wood, bronze, bamboo, stone, etc and structure, shape, playing. Bronze Drum, Dan Da, Gong, Mo, Phach, T’rung are typical traditional percussion instruments of Vietnam.
TA THAM traditional musical instrument is famous for Dan Mo which was made by instrument researcher Ta Tham. In 1987, Dan Mo had won the competition "The works of innovating traditionalmusical instruments" held by the Music Research Institute, Ministry of Culture and Information.
Percussion instruments of TA THAM traditional musical instrument are always close companion of artists in professional stages of National Academy of Music, theaters and art troupes, etc.
